How Telehealth Psychiatry Works
All Lean Medical psychiatry appointments are conducted via secure video. Telehealth psychiatry works the same as an in-person visit - your psychiatrist can evaluate symptoms, discuss treatment options, prescribe medication, and monitor your progress. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy.
Telehealth means you can see a psychiatrist from anywhere in California without driving to an office, taking time off work, or arranging childcare.

Initial evaluation.
Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, typically 60 minutes. Your psychiatrist will discuss your symptoms, history, and goals, and recommend a treatment plan.
Ongoing care.
Follow-up appointments for medication management are shorter, typically 15 to 30 minutes. Your psychiatrist monitors your response to treatment and adjusts as needed.
